It's like those catchphrases from our favorite movies or shows that stick with us. Simple yet profound. Paul is encouraging us to have a constant attitude of joy.
But let's be real—it's not always easy to rejoice. Life can throw curveballs worthy of a plot twist in Game of Thrones. However, our joy isn't based on external events but on our relationship with God.
Choosing to rejoice always is like choosing to see the silver lining, trusting that God is working even when we can't see it.
Prayer:
Dear God, help us to cultivate a heart that rejoices always. Remind us that our joy comes from You, not our circumstances. Fill us with a joy that endures. In Jesus' name, Amen.
