This last week, my mom was rushed to the hospital with a severe case of diverticulitis and a perforated colon and had emergency surgery. I found out from my sister who heard from my mom. In the process of finally getting a hold of her, us siblings throwing ourselves together to discuss her care, her subsequent demand that i rearrange my life and abuse me into it, and the pictures of her hoarding house sent to me by her neighbor - something got ripped open in me.
