Growing up is traumatic, and trauma—anything your brain is not equipped to handle—makes and breaks neural pathways. Often, our childish ways of managing stress stick around into adulthood—these are addictions! They can be so native that they’re invisible to us. But Christians must take inventory of these coping mechanisms and turn them over to God to find true peace.
