19-year-old Sonya Ivanoff, a resident of Nome, Alaska, disappeared during an early morning walk on August 11th, 2003. Her body was found the next evening. None of the early leads panned out, but weeks later, investigators found evidence pointing to local police officer Matthew Owens.
