Calm is not emotional suppression. It’s about having a way out of anxiety when it comes up—because anxiety is part of life. Anxiety comes when we’re unsure about the future, when we get too busy, and when those around us sin (we live in a broken world). So calm is a method to move through the anxiety into freedom, abundance, and peace—which is part of our birthright as children of God.
