Study the Bible with Arthur Bailey
Religion & Spirituality:Religion
Amongst themselves, the people acknowledged the plot of the religious leaders as Yeshua was speaking at the Feast. Some were perplexed because they knew the rulers’ intents, but Yeshua was speaking openly. Some wondered if the rulers had finally accepted Yeshua to be the Messiah.
Deuteronomy 18:18
I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put My words in His mouth; and He shall speak unto them all that I shall command Him.
The people also pondered what they believed based on what they had been taught in spite of what was written. For instance, they assumed He was born in Nazareth because He was referred to as Yeshua of Nazareth.
In this teaching, we explore how Yeshua exposes the people’s inability to discern and distinguish the revelation of the Spirit from the information of man that they had been taught by their religious leaders. Through this example, we see that denominational doctrines can impede on the Scriptures and blind men from the revelation of the Holy Spirit.
