Welcome to another thought-provoking episode of The Chris Abraham Show, where we explore the peculiar corners of reality. I'm your host, Chris Abraham, and today we're diving deep into the rabbit hole of life's oddities and my unconventional approach to advocacy.
You see, the world has become increasingly bizarre, and I can't help but find it fascinating. It's like a challenge to me, urging me to ask, "Is that all you got?" in the face of ever-escalating strangeness. It might sound odd, but this is how I've come to live my life - embracing the chaos and absurdity.
However, don't expect me to be the best advocate for any particular cause. Sure, I care about people's well-being - their access to food, shelter, and kindness, regardless of who they are. But beyond that, I find myself detached from the mainstream struggles. I don't believe in punching Nazis or fascists any more than I believe in punching trans, gay, black, Asian, or any other group of people. Compassion and kindness are my weapons of choice.
My motto is to "think globally, act locally," but I've simplified it further with the Serenity Prayer. Every day, I remind myself, "God grant me the serenity to accept the things I can't change, courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference." It helps me gauge what is truly within my control and what is not.
As the world grapples with impending climate crises and social upheaval, I can't help but wonder how much of it is just fear-mongering and manipulation. I don't accept everything I see or hear on the news at face value. It's like we're living in a simulated reality, where people's collective desires and fears can manifest into tangible consequences. Is it all just a grand illusion, a 3D smell-o-vision of storytelling by media channels?
One thing that keeps me grounded is my personal experiences with people from all walks of life. As I've traveled the world, I've encountered kindness, gentleness, and love from strangers everywhere I go. Despite the narrative of a world filled with violence and chaos, my reality has been quite different.
It's true; I've had my fair share of confrontations, but I've always been proactive and defended myself if necessary. I cherish my mother's efforts to give me a beautiful smile, so I'm always vigilant in protecting it. But, that being said, I've never been carjacked or kidnapped or faced any severe threats. Most of the violence I've encountered has been in the form of hypothetical situations.
So, while I might be a terrible advocate for extreme change, I still yearn for a world where people are treated kindly and can meet their basic needs. The rest, to me, seems like a theatrical performance where truth and reality intertwine in a perplexing dance.
While I may seem skeptical, I do believe in the power of collective will and intention. Whether it's through meditation, prayer, or even social media trends, our thoughts and desires can influence the world around us. It's like we're part of a cosmic wrestling match, where truth and falsehood grapple for control.
But amidst all the chaos, I hold onto a glimmer of hope. Despite the absurdity of the world, I believe that everything's going to be alright. Maybe not in the way we expect, but life has a way of surprising us.
So, here's to embracing the bizarre, staying grounded in our compassion, and believing in the resilience of the human spirit. As I sign off today, I leave you with a heartfelt "Mahalo" for joining me on this peculiar journey.
Remember, truth and advocacy can be complex, but let's strive to find our own path amidst the craziness. Until next time, take care, and keep questioning the world around you. There's so much more to discover.
