How would your life look if you befriended your shadow? Would it lead to more self-acceptance and better boundaries? In this episode, we are pulling back the curtain to look at that part of ourselves that holds repressed, negative emotions. During these times of transition, it is the perfect time to expose those shadows to the light of day and take away the power it may hold over our lives.
The first step in befriending your shadow is to identify it and acknowledge that it’s there. Through recognizing the triggers, the words, the situations that hold us back from expressing ourselves and living our best lives, we are able to rewrite the script to what we want our lives to look like rather than what we’ve accepted it to be.
Some shadow emotions to explore may be:
Be honest with yourself about what you’re feeling is the first step to leading a more balanced and fulfilled life. In next week’s episode, we will take this work a step further and explore how to work with the chakras system to eradicate those shadows once and for all!
