"Monoglycerides are formed by combining fatty acids with a glycerol backbone. When we combine those two items, we gain advantages and also have a very different mode of action compared to what that fatty acid or organic acid does by itself."
Meet the guest: Dr. Mark Whitney, currently serving as the Technical Services Manager in Swine Nutrition at Eastman, brings an extensive background in swine nutrition. With expertise in animal nutrition, husbandry, feed formulation, and strong leadership skills, Dr. Whitney holds a Ph.D. and extensive research experience from the University of Minnesota, as well as an MS in Animal Nutrition from North Dakota State University. Transitioning from academic research to hands-on extension work, and eventually into the commercial sector, he has made significant contributions to swine health management.
