Debbie Potts started racing endurance events as Ironman Triathlons, marathons, cycling events and 50k trail running races starting in 2001. Even though she was metabolically efficient, metabolically flexible, low carb "fat adapted" endurance athlete- she was doing too much of everything including fasting, too low calorie and perhaps too low carbs for her hormones. Chronic stressors, external and HIDDEN internal sources, accumulate and over fill our "stress beaker".
