An ‘American Gladiator’ frequents the halls of the Missouri Capitol

Back in the 80s and 90s, there was a reality TV sports competition called ‘American Gladiators,’ with super-sized athletes wearing patriotic spandex and taking on average contestants. One of those contestants is a familiar face around the Missouri Capitol – Police Chief Zim Schwartze.

Alisa Nelson talks to the chief, who ended Zap’s perfect joust record, and apparently, that’s not the only thing Zim zapped out of Zap.
