Cuba Will Stay on the Socialist Path

Phil interviews Keith Bolender about the effect of the U.S. election upon Cuba. Trump's regressive policies have caused a lot of hardship for Cubans, to the point of creating food insecurity, all compounded by COVID-19. Obama's strategy was to open up to Cuba in order to persuade the Cuban people of the advantages of US society, and thereby win the Cuban people away from support for their communist government. After all, 50 years of applying unsuccessfully the stick against Cuba, Obama resolved to offer a carrot instead.
