NBC's hit show "This Is Us" has shared the Vietnam veteran experience. This season it adds a Marine veteran who served in Afghanistan. The realism of her emotional scenes is due in part to a real Marine, James LaPorta. We talked with him about his infantry days, the hidden tributes built into the show and how he went from combat to become an acclaimed writer for Newsweek and The Washington Post.
