About Melody:
From the Broadway stage to the big screen, actress Melody Butiu is making a name for herself in the industry and beyond. The rising star can be seen playing a supporting lead role in the Universal Pictures and Amblin comedy franchise “Easter Sunday”. The film releases in theaters nationwide on August 5th, with an all-star comedic cast including Jo Koy and Tiffany Haddish. “Easter Sunday” celebrates diversity with a cast/crew comprised of mostly Filipinos, Filipino-Americans, Filipino descents & BIPOC creatives. Melody is a huge advocate for Filipino representation in TV/film.
Previously, Melody has made appearances and recurring guest roles on shows such as NBC’s This is Us, CBS’ Mom, FOX’s Call Me Cat, Netflix’s The Kominsky Method, CBS’ NCIS: LA, ABC’s Desperate Housewives, and more. In the theatre world, Melody has performed in countless plays in theatres all across the country and internationally. She made her Broadway debut inDr. Zhivago, and has most recently starred in A Christmas Carol and South Pacific.
