On this episode of Talking Buffalo Podcast presented by 26 Shirts, host Patrick Moran has a conversation with WIVB-TV traffic anchor and feature reporter Jhas Williams on a variety of topics spanning her life and career.
Jhas came to work for Channel 4 last fall after spending roughly a decade in radio. They talk about her radio career and how feeling a ceiling helped prompt Williams to get into working on TV and ultimately coming to Buffalo.
Before that they discuss Jhas growing up in South Jersey near Philadelphia a fan of all the area pro sports teams: Eagles, Phillies, 76ers and Flyers. Jhas had many talents as a youth she’s incorporated into her adult life including writing and music. One of her talents, however, was not being a good student. She openly describes her struggles academically when she was young and some of the reasons.
They also hit on many other talking points, including her relationship with her colleagues at WIVB-TV, the schedule required to be a morning reporter, her thoughts on Buffalo so far since moving there, a few favorite wing spots and much more, including the traditional Fun Fact Finale.
