''Then I went into the regions of Syria and Cilicia.'' (Galatians 1:21).
After his meeting with Peter, Paul finally returned home to Tarsus. Tarsus was the capital of the province of Cilicia. What a surprise it probably was for his neighbors growing up to hear his testimony! Definitely one with twists and turns like John Grisham novel.
The hometown boy who had left to sit at the feet of the great Gamaliel. The man they had heard stories of his barbarism against Christians. The man who came to preach the very Gospel he once tried to silence.
Paul came home. A very different man from the boy who had left. Not only had he earned a great education. He had seen the Messiah risen from the dead. And this story he proclaimed to everyone he met. It means that much. Amen.
