Transition Wild - Sportsmen’s Empire
Sports:Wilderness
On today’s episode, I’m getting back to my whitetail roots with Bob Polanic where he talks about his out of state whitetail deer hunts to Nebraska. He covers why he started hunting Nebraska and how he was able to get access to hunt some private ground without paying a high dollar lease or hunting with an outfitter. We talk about the terrain and how it’s a different world of hunting when you leave the confines of northern Michigan.
We also discuss his upcoming hunt in Iowa, where he was able to gain access to a private farm while doing some spring and summer scouting a few months ago. He talks about his game plan for that hunt and why he thinks this could be his best hunt yet.
To summarize, we talk about the importance of going on an out-of-state deer hunt and why everyone should experience states like Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, and many more areas of the country that offer quality deer hunting. Public land is in abundance and door knocking is always a good option because you can never have to many properties to bow hunt.
Bob runs his own hunting blog, Hybrid Outdoors where he documents all of his hunting and fishing adventures across the country. Check out his website at: www.Hybrid-Outdoors.com
