Front Row Classics concludes it’s MonsterCast output for 2021 with not only a great horror film, but a great piece of cinema altogether. Brandon and Eric break down 1935’s Bride of Frankenstein. This sequel ,in many ways, improves upon the 1931 original with incredible production design and universal themes. The hosts praise James Whale’s impressive direction and camerawork which compliments the incomparable performances of Boris Karloff as the Monster and Elsa Lanchester as the Bride. We also look at Ernest Thesiger’s macabre performance as Dr. Pretorius and the legacy of ghoulish imitators that came after.
