Center for Family Business: Dr. Greg Filbeck, Dr. Chris Harben & Doug Neckers - Aug. 16, 2021

So many businesses in Erie are family-owned and operated, so on our Monday episode we put our focus on Penn State Behrend’s new Center for Family Business. The Center offers support to family-owned businesses on how to hire and retain family members, how to manage employee turnover among non-family employees, and how to develop a succession plan. Joining us were: Dr. Greg Filbeck, director of the Black School of Business; Dr. Chris Harben, Toudy Chair of Entrepreneurship and Family Business and Associate Director of the Center for Family Business; and Doug Neckers, CEO of Maplevale Farms and chair of the center’s advisory board.
