''And I was still unknown in person to the churches of Judea that are in Christ. They only were hearing it said, "He who used to persecute us is now preaching the faith he once tried to destroy"'' (Galatians 1:22-23).
In the fifteen days he was in Jerusalem, Paul only saw Peter and James (Galatians 1:18-19). No other Christian saw him or knew him by sight in Judea.
How can that be? It's not really all that hard. Take yourself out of Iroquois County. Or whatever small town you're listening in. Put yourself in Chicago or Minneapolis or St. Louis. How long would it take for you to be known by many people? More than fifteen days. That's for sure!
Even though they didn't know his face, the Christians in Judea still glorified God because the great persecutor had seen the Light. They rejoiced because Jesus had removed their fear. Amen.
