Migrant tells Andy Ngo to go back to China

Dublin, Ireland — While reporting about mass migration in the city center on June 19, 2024, I was told to go back to China by a migrant. (I am not Chinese.) An NGO worker pitching tents tried to stop my interview with the migrants, who are all adult males. She also falsely claimed it was illegal to record them in public.

Ireland has been experiencing a migrant crisis fueled by a surge of foreign nationals mainly from the Middle East and Africa. Nonprofit groups have been helping build tent cities around Dublin. Many of the migrants arrive via commercial flights, where they destroy their passports once they land in Ireland so that it is more challenging to deport them.
