On today's podcast, we're talking about codependency and encouraging real change in a toxic relationship (not just romantic ones). Many times we believe that if we just do enough things and control enough settings around a person- we can make them change, but this is not how change usually works. This codependency keeps both parties trapped- usually getting nowhere. Some will only learn by experiencing the consequences of their actions (ourselves included) and ignoring or saving them from that every time only enables the cycle of toxic and destructive behaviors. This doesn’t mean we hold others or ourselves to standards of perfection or overnight change but proactivity and progress in the right direction. Tune into the recording for more...
