The Happy Hour with Jamie Ivey
Religion & Spirituality:Christianity
With an unprecedented ruling from a judge, Lauren and Michael had their lives turned upside down in just a few short hours. All of their plans, expectations, and visions of what they thought their family would look like, was forever changed! On today’s episode, Lauren McAfee shares her journey of grief and how she found that scripture and God was solid truth, even in her darkest days.
Lauren McAfee is the founder and visionary of Stand for Life, and the author of multiple books including her most recent release Beyond Our Control. Lauren also works at the Hobby Lobby corporate office in the Ministry Investment department, and is a PhD student studying ethics and public policy. She is married to her high school sweetheart Michael, and together they have two daughters through the blessing of adoption.
It’s likely your story isn’t the same as Lauren’s, but we’ve all walked through grief that was completely beyond our control. We hope this episode encourages you to seek God and stand firm on His truth, when everything around you feels out of control.
