Living Wholehearted Podcast With Jeff and Terra
Kids & Family:Parenting
As we reflect on 2023, it's important to consider the fact that we’ve all picked up offenses over the past twelve months. One of the ways we stay healthy and wholehearted is doing our forgiveness work. The church isn't always clear about how to forgive, leaving many of us with the right motive, but not always the right methods. Sometimes we even confuse forgiveness with reconciliation, trust, or with forgetting. As you move through the rest of this year and into the next, keep in mind that becoming a wholehearted leader at home, work and in the community requires each of us to own what we can, forgive what we can, and reconcile where we can. Listen in to learn the difference and how to create a culture where forgiveness is as familiar as breathing. Combining mental health, spiritual formation, and trauma-informed abuse recovery, this conversation is complex, but vital to our health and wholeness.
Jeff and Terra Mattson are the co-hosts of the Living Wholehearted Podcast. They are also the founders of Living Wholehearted, a professional counseling, executive coaching, and organizational development firm outside Portland, Oregon, helping leaders live and lead with integrity. Their team of professionals are coming alongside leaders in the home, work and community, providing confidential and safe places for leaders, and their families and teams, to find healing, wholeness, and health. Jeff and Terra are also co-authors of the book Shrinking the Integrity Gap: Between What Leaders Preach and Live, co-founders of Courageous Girls, a non-profit dedicated to helping moms walk alongside their daughters at every stage of their growing years (learn more at mycourageousgirls.com), and parents of two teen girls. Bridging the gap between Biblical truth, clinical expertise, and trauma-informed relational wisdom, the Mattsons are writing, speaking, training, and coaching leaders in both sacred and secular spaces so there are more wholehearted leaders in a broken and hurting world.
