The “I Do” Dilemma

The idea that God, rather than ourselves, is the true Doer is essential for any meaningful human endeavor. Great works of art, music, and literature often evoke a sense of timelessness, suggesting an impersonal creative force at play. By stepping aside and allowing this divine power to flow through us, we can engage more deeply in various activities, including meditation. While some may find it hard to fully embrace this concept, viewing it as a partnership with God can serve as a helpful bridge. When faced with daunting tasks, focusing on channeling a higher power instead of seeking personal success can yield surprising results. Ultimately, the purpose of our lives is to learn about and experience God's love and wisdom. Acknowledging that our experiences are part of God's plan brings us closer to His joy. As Yogananda beautifully prayed, we can ask to feel God as our ultimate source of strength in all we do.
