Jo-Anne McArthur is a multi award-winning photographer, author and public speaker. Through her work We Animals, Jo-Anne documents the ‘invisible animals’ across the globe, the animals we eat, wear, test on and enslave, yet rarely see. Her award-winning work is frequently featured in high profile publications such as National Geographic, The Guardian and The Washington Post. I sit down with Jo-Anne to discuss her powerful work, the impact that it has, and also the effect that it has had on her. How can we as vegans, handle animal suffering? And how can we improve and be more present as animal rights activists?
