Throughout her career, Dr. Lois Campbell has consistently worked on ways to encourage learners (Elementary-College) to be engaged in the areas traditionally associated with STEM. She had directed students in cognitive-focused inquiry instruction, environmental/science education, and laboratory techniques. Her greatest emphasis has been on student research endeavors. Dr. James Brauer is currently the Director of Graduate Studies and Instructor at Avila University’s School of Education. Previously, he was the founding school leader of Iowa Connections Academy (a public, virtual school serving students in grades K-12 throughout the state of Iowa) and an assistant principal for the North Kansas City School District.
