Get Real or Die Trying with Amadon DellErba
Religion & Spirituality:Spirituality
Amadon DellErba talks about the fight or flight response and the need to shift our reactions to responses. The "Fight or Flight" response is linked with victim-mentality. It must be acknowledged consciously. Our thinking is based on our beliefs and we can become delusional as we project our imagination into our reactions.
Amadon uses The URANTIA Book to illustrate the concept of perception. He also references the book, The Diamond Cutter by Geshe Michael Roach. He discusses the process of imprinting on our minds and the need to live with intention. Amadon speaks of reactions as being thoughts of our past and responses being thoughts of our present and future.
People can use good assertion to assess, adapt, and act with strength and compassion. As he shares in this episode, "If you want to progress into an optimum spiritual human being, take responsibility for yourself and your actions. Don't cast blame."
