Festival Nation with Marla Davies
Music:Music History
Today on 'Festival Nation' we head to Willington England in the time of Elizabeth the 1st and join the Northern California Renaissance Faire. The NorCal RenFaire is renowned for it's legendary full-contact joust. Spectators root for a country and their favorite knight. Today you'll meet Greg Hopla - owner of the World Tournament of Champions Knights of the Realm. You'll hear how Greg's love of snow skiing brought him to jousting, how he trained Olympic Skier Johnny Mosley in jousting for an upcoming episode of 'Jonny Mosley's Wildest Dreams' and why the Faire is still thriving and is so magical.
