I’m really excited for you to hear this pod with Roz Barr. She is director of the eponymous Roz Barr Architects and has most recently been acclaimed for her work on St Augustine’s church in London, for which she won a Royal Institute of British Architects award.
In the RIBA journal, her work was described like this:
"Subtle restoration, combined with beautiful and accomplished detailing and the addition of exquisitely crafted sacred elements, has transformed a mediocre building into a place with a transcendental quality, expressed through the human effort of making simple things very special."
Roz has been meditating for more than a decade. In our conversation, we go into the reasons she learned, how her personal history led her to her work and to meditation, and how her practice feeds her creativity.
Enjoy.
