Today’s guest is Dr Tiina Meder from Meder Beauty.
Dr Tiina Meder dreamed of a career in medicine from an early age. Initially fascinated by the harmony and rationality of chemistry, she found her calling in the idea of using science to help people.
Dr Meder started out as a cardiologist, later turning to dermatology, arguably the nerdiest field of medical science. She became fascinated with the intricate works of human skin and thousands of diagnostic possibilities, more variable than in any other branch of medicine.
Strictly academic in her approach from the start, Dr Tiina Meder quickly earned recognition in the field.
In 2009, Meder Beauty Science, was born out of her frustration with the conventional skin care industry and today Dr Tiina Meder dedicates most of her time to managing Meder Beauty, which has grown into an international enterprise with distribution partners in over 30 countries.
Meder Beauty treatments are offered in more than 10,000 clinics across the world. Today the company offers 6 innovative professional treatments for clinical use and 27 home care products.
Dr Meder uses her experience, knowledge and energy to devise products and treatments that would be safe, painless, and effective for all ages and skin types. She pioneered the use of peptides for forehead wrinkles and of prebiotics and probiotics in one treatment. She was one of the first to use epigenetic and neuro-cosmetic ingredients to improve skin health.
Here to discuss the Skin Microbiome, from Meder Beauty, today we welcome Dr Tiina Meder.
