74: Mike Hughes on the Origin of SIRT Pistols and NextLevel Training Methodology

In Episode 74, Sofia interviews Mike Hughes, the Founder of SIRT and NextLevel Training. Mike is a multifaceted individual with a diverse range of achievements and experiences, from being a contestant on the History Channel's Top Shot Season Three, to founding and presiding over Next Level Training in Ferndale, Washington. 

Mike's journey began at the University of Idaho, where he played college football. He then pursued a career in law, practicing for over a decade. His love for competition and precision, however, led him to the History Channel's Top Shot. Despite an early elimination, Mike made an unexpected return to the competition, reaching the Season 3 Finale.

Stepping beyond his television fame, Mike is also recognized in the world of competitive shooting. As a United States Practical Shooting Association competitor, he secured a commendable 7th place at the Nationals competition. This obsession with speed and accuracy, combined with his love for fundamental skills, inspired him to invent the SIRT Pistol, a top training tool used across military, law enforcement, and private training organizations.
