The Sober Curious Movement is quite evident when you start digging into the internet. There are apps, self-help social media groups and tons of alcohol free drink options being marketed today. While the pandemic saw both men and women drinking more, women had a higher increase in heavy drinking than their male counterparts, which has many of us reassessing our own relationship with alcohol.
Jenn Kautsch started taking stock of how alcohol was impacting her life and researching gray area drinking. She wanted to share her journey with a broader audience and help other sober curious women. What resulted was the founding of Sober Sis, an all-female support group that is now a 20,000 women-strong network.
Whether you wish to drink less or not at all, Jenn provides the information to help you make informed decisions around your health and life goals.
In this episode Jenn and Michele discuss:
-Jenn's journey and the mental tug-of-war
-Alcohol, connection and intimacy
-Alcohol use disorder and gray area drinking
-The detox to retox loop and surviving "wine o'clock"
-Sober Sis programs and The 21 Day Reset
