This week we're joined by indie game developer Daniel Mullins! The developer of meta, genre-busting indie games like Pony Island and The Hext, his latest, Video Game Awards-nominated masterpiece Inscryption is currently on PC. We talk about his horror history, his video game history, how he got into game development and the way Inscryption mixes Magic: The Gathering, roguelikes, found footage, horror and more, wrapped in meta-ness. Then we talk about the movie he brought with him that terrified him as a kid, Henry Selick's James and the Giant Peach! We discuss giant insects, the dark script, Roald Dahl's book, the horrible aunts and Terry gets miffed there's a real spider in it.
Get more information on Inscryption and all of Daniel's games at his website (Spoiler alert: they're all really good and genre-busting) and follow him on Twitter.
