Chris warns us that these situations aren't as simple as the old movies where you can just grab a vine to pull yourself out of quicksand. It's much more complicated and, unfortunately, often doesn't have such convenient solutions.

You see, democracy only works when its people are engaged, aware, and ready to hold powerful institutions accountable for their actions.
