Todd Blanche took the oath of office as attorney general on August 10, He immediately issued a  memo dramatically expanding executive privilege, This expansion will hinder efforts to investigate Trump’s corruption, Independent journalist Katie Phang has filed a suit to force the Department of Justice to produce unredacted documents from the Epstein Files, The Department of Justice has not turned over those documents, The judge has warned the Department of Justice that he has held prosecutors in contempt of court in the past, The Financial Crimes Enforcement Network ended the registry that makes shell companies identify their owners, The Treasury Department will not collect information required by the Corporate Transparency Act that is intended to undercut shell companies that enable money laundering, In doing so, the Trump administration may be openly refusing to implement a law.
