Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf was a highly touted basketball prospect, selected third overall in the 1990 NBA Draft. His career included an appearance in the 1993 Slam Dunk Contest, and he led the league in free throw percentage twice. In 1996, he chose not to stand for the National Anthem and feels that his decision led to a decline in his NBA career. Hosts Michael Barr, Scarlet Fu and Damian Sassower talk to Abdul-Rauf about his career and journey, and his new book "In the Blink of an Eye: An Autobiography" which covers it all. He shares his thoughts on player activism when he played and where it is now.
