Today, Dr. William Li’s back to discuss the MediterAsian way of eating which features powerful foods for weight loss and health. Dr. Li emphasizes the importance of incorporating metabolism-boosting foods into your diet – he sings the praises of tomatoes, broccoli, bok choy, carrots, beets, onions, garlic, and berries, among others. Unlike other voices in the food as medicine space, Dr. Li also gives many foods found in the middle of most every supermarket their due. Some of the hidden treasures we shouldn’t overlook are beans, capers, chilis, dried mushrooms and the surprise heavy-hitter: apple cider vinegar. We also talk white fat and brown fat, and more from his latest book, Eat to Beat Your Diet! Dr. William Li is in the house – don’t miss it!
