Few Tang!!! We saw evidence of it during the VERZUZ between The Lox and Dipset. If you were at Dreamville Fest or watched it on Amazon, we saw evidence when comparing Lil Durk's appearance and J.I.D.'s performance...I could name myriad examples, but I'm talking about the difference between a mere recording artist and a real emcee. It's rare to find a "popular" artist that performs a show WITHOUT a backing track. These bums are rapping over the lyrics they're supposed to be reciting. I don't know about y'all, but I'm not paying to SEE you while listening to the same exact song the play on the radio. I'm paying to see you PERFORM the song. Sadly, that's a dying art. We think they are several reasons emceeing is fading. We realize there's a clear line of delineation between a recording artist and an emcee. And we used this conversation to unpack it all. We hope y'all enjoy this convo as much a we did. Dig in! But FIRST...Make room for the tag. #ConversateForAFew
