Dana Clair Edwards was found dead in her home in San Antonio, Texas on January 2, 2009. She was last seen alive leaving a New Year’s Eve party just after midnight. Police interviewed friends and acquaintances, including Dana’s ex-boyfriend, John Thomas Ford. Prosecutors soon believed that he was their main suspect, but the investigation dragged on and Ford remained a free man. Dana’s mother, Deborah Edwards believed Jon Thomas Ford was the alleged killer and tormented him with notes and emails marking anniversaries, birthdays and holidays; each note including a reference to her daughter. Finally, a year after the murder, there was a break in the case. “48 Hours" correspondent Richard Schlesinger reports. This classic "48 Hours" episode last aired on 8/17/2013.
