The Toronto Comic Arts Festival (TCAF) exists to promote the breadth and diversity of comics and what is considered comics as a legitimate medium of literary and artistic worth. TCAF seeks to promote the creators of these works in their broad and diverse voices for the betterment of the medium of comics and to reach as broad an audience as possible for them. TCAF is held from May 11 to 12 at the Toronto Reference Library.
Stephanie Cooke is a writer of graphic novels including ParaNorthern and the Oh My Gods! series, as well as The Racc Pack, with bestselling creator, Whitney Gardner. Stephanie is an avid reader, gamer, movie watcher, and pun connoisseur. She’s based out of Toronto, Ontario where she can often be found curled up with her snuggly cat…that she happens to be very allergic to. Stephanie’s latest YA graphic novel, created in collaboration with artist Mel Valentine Vargas, is entitled Pillow Talk.
Available now, Pillow Talk is the story of “Grace Mendes a.k.a. Cinderhella is a fierce competitor in the PFF, a pillow fight federation that’s part roller derby, part professional wrestling. But in this fresh, coming-of-age YA graphic novel, Grace needs to learn to overcome her biggest enemy: herself”.
