Positive Impact with Andrew Schultz
Society & Culture
Sometimes in life we do what we need to do, not what we want to do.
And recently, I made the decision to move back to Omaha, Nebraska and help my brother run the family business - Host Coffee Service.
When I graduated from college, we had 10 employees and doing around $2 million in annual revenue.
Today, we have 50 employees and doing around $16 million to put it in context.
So I recently made the decision to move from Bend, Oregon to Omaha, Nebraska - A very hard decision.
And the opportunity to work in the family business, it's something I never thought I would do.
And needless to say, we are a rapidly growing company and myself - an owner of the company - with a responsibility to do everything possible to create a sustainable, profitable, empowering, and supportive business model. and a culture for our customers, employees, and our family.
This is not a decision that I wanted to make.
I'm gonna be really honest with everybody listening.
All of you, my audience over the last five years, I've always shared authentically, honestly, with vulnerability. and sharing with you this decision.
It's not a decision I wanted to make.
But it's a decision I needed to make.
You see, it would be much easier and less stressful to stay on the West Coast and continue teaching yoga and breath work and being a full-time transformational coach.
Running away from all the traumas and shadow part of my family dynamic - the generational trauma, addiction, shame, the unhealthy patterns, the resentments, the grief, the sadness.
My brother has never asked for my help until a few weeks ago.....
And I said yes.
And here's the best part, I still have the flexibility to continue my transformational coaching with all my clients.
My brother and I worked out an agreement where I'm going to be working Monday through Thursday for the family business, focusing on company culture, employee support and morale, strategy, sales and marketing.
And Fridays and Saturdays are allocated for my podcast, my retreats, my transformational coaching and clients that I work with one-on-one.
And to have that flexibility and support and being able to come back and do both was the reason I said yes.
Because without having two days dedicated to my passion and of helping support others and creating content to inspire hope and bring on guests for my podcasts to share their stories of the positive impacts they're having in the community.
The opportunity to serve my coaching clients one-on-one.
To empower others to create a life of maximum success, significance, and fulfillment.
If you want support and accountability, I'm here to serve you. Together, locking arms together, one day at a time!
