If you bring yourself to this moment,

If you let your breath guide you home.

You can begin to feel deep down,

The millions of ways you have grown. 

PAUSE…

Let this moment remind you,

That who you are today,

Is an accumulation of the steps, 

You’ve taken along the way. 

PAUSE…

Some of those steps have hurt you,

Some of them left scars,

Some of them lit you up,

Glowing like the stars.

PAUSE…

So slow your breath and clear your mind,

And sink into your core. 

There’s nothing that can take away,

The steps you’ve walked before. 

Bring your hand to your heart, 

And feel the gentle beats. 

Let the rhythm ground you now, 

And feel your peace increase. 

PAUSE…

Breathe now…

Slow and true. 

Breathe now…

Celebrate you. 

LONG PAUSE…

I’m sure you can recall,

Seasons full of pain.

When you were stretched and broken,

When you could barely sustain. 

PAUSE…

Hold those moments in your hands,

As heavy as they may be.

Who you are can hold them now,

Easily, gratefully.

PAUSE…

See yourself as you stare,

At your reflection in your hands.

Each dark moment has shaped you,

Has forced you to expand. 

PAUSE…

Breathe now…

Slow and true. 

Breathe now…

Celebrate you. 

LONG PAUSE…

And then you feel the sparks of joy,

You’ve had along the way.

The laughs and kisses and magic,

That still swirl around and play. 

PAUSE…

Let your smile spread real wide, 

And sink deep into you. 

Grateful for the journey you’re on,

And the chance to create anew. 

PAUSE…

Within this breath, right here and now,

You see the loving truth. 

You’re part of the vast Universe, 

And…

There’s no one just like you.
