In the late 1970s, Houston was once considered the murder capital of the country, and many cases went unsolved, especially in Houston’s Latino community. So, the Houston Police Department did something radical. They created the first ever all-Latino, fully bilingual homicide team called the ‘Chicano Squad.’ Sergio Selvera joins host Raheel Ramzanali to explain how the group changed community policing. He’s the executive producer of the new docuseries ‘The Chicano Squad’ on A&E, and the son of one of the original team members.
