On September 13th, 2006, a body that had been found floating in the water of Newport Beach Harbor in California was identified as 56-year-old Barbara Mullenix, who had been stabbed more than 50 times--a sign detectives said meant she likely knew her killer. Why would somebody want Barbara dead? Detectives at first looked at her ex-husband Bruce and their rocky relationship, but soon moved their focus to her daughter Rachael and her boyfriend Ian Allen, as the evidence led investigators to an unthinkable conclusion.
