Before moving into public relations, he enjoyed a 25-year media career working in newsrooms across Canada. He has written for numerous publications, including the Globe & Mail, National Post, Maclean’s, Ottawa Citizen and Vancouver Sun.
In this episode, you will hear about Dave Veale's first encounter over 20 years ago when he pitched a leadership column idea to Stonehouse who was the business editor at the Telegraph-Journal newspaper in Saint John. Stonehouse was initially skeptical but the column ran successfully for over a decade. Emily and Dave also spoke about Stonehouse's 25 years of experience in journalism and transitioning into communications and public relations, working at the University of New Brunswick before starting his own agency, The Stonehouse Agency, around 5 years ago.
