We must talk about military vaccination requirements. The military would rather lose quality members than grant them exemptions for even the flu shot now. At least four military members are being forced from the military for requesting religious, medical, or administrative accommodations from eth seasonal flu shot. Why? It’s not for readiness because as you can see in my cold open, a published Pentagon paper says you are 4.4 times more likely to get sick after getting the seasonal fly shot. It’s not for public health either under those circumstances. And after what we’ve experienced with side effects from the COVID mRNA vaccines, why are we risking further damage to our force readiness by even considering seasonal mRNA flu vaccines? What is the compelling government interest in not retaining these members? Is it because they dare to ask why? We have one of those members as my guest today to discuss the situation and why he’s asking for relief, but had his pay stopped for months, putting his family into a financial crisis! Brennan (Skip) Schilperoort is a 17-year Active Duty Air Force Major and Pilot in Air Mobility Command with zero prior disciplinary action. AMC refused to process his flu shot Religious Accommodation Request; his base refused to give him a medical exemption even though he had a severe adverse reaction to a previous flu shot and was able to prove natural immunity with a highly positive antibody test; his command gave him a Letter of Reprimand and sent him to a discharge board.
