Living Wholehearted Podcast With Jeff and Terra
Kids & Family:Parenting
You don’t have to go far in anyone’s story to find suffering, trauma, loss and adversity. In our humanity, we often wrestle with the question, “Why, God? Why?” But what if the story isn’t the focus of our lives and God has something beautiful through the storms and struggles of life? We know deeply the pages of trauma, personally and professionally, and we don’t like giving trite responses to pain. But, we know that there isn’t a story out there that God won’t use for His purposes in our lives. Our guest today, who has lived a seasoned life with plenty of adversity, testifies that when he looks back, he sees that God has never disappointed him. From anger to depression, to the biggest questions people are asking in the confidential spaces of counseling, to uncontrollable fears, painful experiences, and unforgiveness, listen in as Pastor John speaks to your mind, heart and soul today.
John Meador has served as a lead pastor for nearly 40 years, stationed in Texas since 2006. The church he leads is intergenerational and multi-ethnic, and has pioneered many kingdom initiatives that are impacting thousands. Part of John’s story is born out of adversity, leaving him with irreversible hearing loss that left him profoundly deaf. You will hear more of his story today. His new book, God’s Not Done With You, is based on both personal and biblical stories where we see God bringing people back from challenging and often paralyzing situations. John and His wife, Kim, have been married for 45 years and are parents of 6 grown children.
