EPISODE 275 - Mike ML Sutton - An Anthology from the heart - for Him, for Her and for Them - The Loss of a Spouse
Who is your biggest influence and why?
I cannot honestly say that I have a single influence. The influence on my life and living as I do has and is an accumulated influence from many sources; my grandparents and their examples; my love for my family; my faith in God, and my overwhelming thankfulness for all He has taken from and given back to me and my family; my church.
Tell us something we don’t know about you.
I am a simple person who doesn’t require much to be content. Just give me some space, easy instrumental music, a nearby shoreline, and a project that I can go to work on, preferably one using my hands and mind, then stand back. I love to work in my yard, read, and collect rocks.
Even to your old age, I am He, and even to gray hairs I will carry you! I have made, and I will bear; Even I will carry, and will deliver you.
What was your favorite book as a child? What is your favorite activity to do with the family?
I didn’t have one; we were not well off, but my grandmother was a schoolteacher, so she would bring the old set of encyclopedias to us when she received new, and I read them again and again as you might a novel. Now, as an adult, I enjoy reading the Clive Cussler Series of books.
Are you working on any other projects?
I am. Currently; I am finishing up my second book, an anthology of poems and stories of the yearning and sadness of a broken heart, the gratitude of a thankful and loving heart, fond memories being brought to life, everyday scenes, and thought-provoking observations, which I hope like this book, Mission Hope, will bring hope, enlightenment, and joy to those who read it by healing broken hearts and opening the eyes and hearts of the readers to see with compassion and gratitude, all that God has so richly blessed us with.
