While Disneyland and Walt Disney World seem to have mostly the same experiences and rides as each other, only one attraction stands out as possibly being too insane to have existed in the first place, much less in a Disney Park. The ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter was ... something else. Relying on sound design and physical effects rather than animatronics, this Child of the Eisner Era lasted far longer than it had any right to. The concept and execution were so non-Disney it's surprising it was ever assembled in the first place. A truly immersive ride that was also scary? Sign us up!
